Newport pregnancy service celebrates its 20th birthday (From South Wales Argus)

The Mayor of Blackwood Granville Hale (L)  joins Newport mayor and Mayoress Cliff and Christine Suller in celebrating the 20th Birthday of the Beresdford Pregnancy Centre in Newport. (1165048)

Beresford Pregnancy Counselling centre, which was set up on Beresford Road, Newport, in 1993, is a registered charity which counsels and supports women in South Wales with pregnancy related issues. Since 1993 the centre has helped several thousands of women and their partners face issues such as termination and unexpected pregnancy. Much of this work is free face to face counselling by trained volunteers, as well as a telephone help-line if clients are unable to come to the centre. The centre also works with schools offering input on unexpected pregnancy, sex and relationships.
